January 28, 2020 It’s that time of year again! Anyone who got engaged over the holidays are out buying wedding magazines and online setting up their wedding websites! Yes, that’s a thing. Plans get made, diets begin and everyone looks forward to the big day! But where to begin? Picking a date is usually the best place to start. The date sets the tone for the rest of the wedding planning. If you plan on having a wedding in on a beach or in someone’s backyard you probably won’t pick December for a wedding date. The most popular wedding months used to be June, September and October. But clever brides are getting more creative these days and finding ways to save money and still having memorable weddings by thinking outside the proverbial box. When thinking of your “dream wedding”, remember to spend the money on what is most important to you. To some, a bride may want to buy the most expensive designer wedding dress that she has had taped to her vanity since she was 17 years old. To others, it could be the photographer, the food or the DJ. To each their own. But most only get married once so make it unforgettable! Imagine a rustic yet elegant Barn/Farm wedding. Perhaps a romantic backyard weddings with intimate lighting and beautiful flowers. Or my favorite, a Beach Wedding on the coast of New Hampshire/Maine. These type of “venue’s” are typically free or ask for donations. This allows for a beautiful backdrop, amazing photographs and saves money for you to spend it on whatever it is that is important to you. Affordable yet amazing weddings are actually our specialty! It’s what we do! This past weekend we were able to meet some newly engaged woman at the 38th Annual Wedding Showcase at the Whittemore Center in Durham, New Hampshire. What a great day! We passed out food samples and talked to so many great people who are planning a wedding in 2020 and 2021. It was great to hear some of the ideas they were kicking around as well as throwing out suggestions for their big day. Our Events Coordinator, Kait Wharf, has her hands full with brides who want to set up wedding tastings after sampling the mouthwatering meatballs our very own Chef James Todd created for the event. What do you want from a Chef who was nominated Best of the Seacoast for 2019? Sorry, I’m bragging now but I cannot NOT gush about the food that comes out of his kitchen! No matter the dietary restriction, our Chef makes each and every dish with love. Touchdown! It’s wedding season people! This is our Superbowl! Let’s make it great! Call us at 603-422-5502 or email us at ordering@greatcirclecatering.com to set up a tasting. We book up fast so don’t wait! Sally McCaffrey, AKA “Little Meatball” Great Circle Catering
